This community was built in the spirit of Shirley Chisholm — a woman who refused to be owned by corporations, controlled by political machines, or silenced by the system. She was speaking for every person the system was never designed to protect.
We carry that spirit forward. Not as a political statement — as a human one. This space is not left or right. It is for anyone who looked at the world and said: something is wrong, and I refuse to keep funding it.
Founded in California. Born from the experience of someone who felt lost after seeing how deep the corruption goes. A place where people who woke up can find each other. Where you don't have to explain yourself. Where you are believed. Where you are home.

Your business is legitimately registered and pays what it owes. Businesses using deceptive financial structures, shell companies for personal enrichment, or engaging in fraud are not welcome.

Your business is not majority-owned, financially controlled, or operationally dependent on corporations with documented records of the violations above. Independent means independent.

Misrepresenting your business on this application — in any material way — is grounds for immediate permanent removal with no refund. We read every application. We will find out.

This is not a terms-of-service checkbox. This is a declaration. By submitting this application, I voluntarily affirm each of the following — under my own name, under my own word, as the price of belonging here.
1.
I treat people fairly.
My business pays its workers what it promised. I do not steal wages, manipulate hours, retaliate against workers who speak up, or use contractor classification to avoid basic protections. I treat customers with honesty — no hidden fees, no deceptive pricing, no manufactured urgency.
2.
My money doesn't fund harm.
I have not made — and will not make — political contributions designed to suppress votes, restrict civil rights, or fund candidates with documented histories of corruption, exploitation, or authoritarianism. If contributions exist, I am willing to disclose them and explain them to this community.
3.
I operate independently.
My business is not majority-owned, franchised, or financially controlled by a corporation with a documented record of labor violations, political corruption, price gouging, or exploitation of workers or communities. I am not a front for something I wouldn't say out loud.
4.
I am financially legitimate.
My business is legally registered and operating in good standing. I pay my taxes — or I am actively working with a legitimate professional to resolve any past obligations. I do not use financial structures designed to hide money, avoid accountability, or harm the communities I operate in.
5.
I accept accountability.
If a member of this community raises a concern about my business, I will engage honestly — not with lawyers, not with silence, not with threats. I understand that the founder and community have the right to investigate any listing at any time. I accept that my place here is earned continuously, not granted once.
6.
I understand what self-certification means.
This is a self-certified listing. No FEC records have been checked. No IRS documents have been reviewed at this tier. My certification rests entirely on my word. I understand that the Fully Verified tier — when it launches — will involve that documentation. I agree that misrepresentation at any tier is grounds for immediate permanent removal with no refund.
7.
I belong here for the right reasons.
I am not applying to this directory as a marketing strategy. I am applying because I believe what this community stands for — that businesses should earn trust, that money should stay in communities that built it, and that integrity is not optional. I agree to the Community Rules as posted and understand that continued listing constitutes continued agreement as those rules evolve.
This statement is a binding clickwrap agreement. Your digital acceptance — checking the box below — is legally equivalent to a written signature under California law and the federal Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (E-SIGN Act, 15 U.S.C. § 7001). Your IP address, timestamp, and the text of this statement as accepted are logged at the moment of submission and retained as part of your application record.
